New York Doll

Okay. I don't really have a good story. Instead I will talk about a few films I have seen recently. At the International Cinema. One of them was called The Cup. It is about Tibetan monks in India who love soccer. The whole movie is them trying to get a satellite dish on their monastery so they can watch the 1998 world cup. It was hilarious. I recommend it. It was all in Hindi and Tibetan. Delight.
The other movie I saw is called New York Doll. It was AWESOME! I am going to buy it. It is a documentary about Arthur "Killer" Kane, the bassist for the proto-punk group The New York Dolls. He is the blond-ish guy who looks startlingly like a woman. He was an alcoholic and addicted to drugs and then joined the LDS church. The film followed him around while he was getting ready for a reunion concert with the living members of the Dolls. Honestly, it was the best documentary I have ever seen. A certain highlight was when he described his conversion as similar to an acid trip. Obviously, this movie gets big thumbs up. I highly recommend it. It is still playing tonight and tomorrow. GO AND SEE IT!
What else to share? Today is Caitlin's wedding shower. I got her some good stuff. That is all the detail I can go into online. I don't know who is going to read this! If you would like more info... talk to me. Perhaps I will share. I also got some pictures today that I am considering sending to Mike. I don't know which one to send. Oh well. Maybe I will send one to Loveless. Who, by the way, has a first name. It is Stephen. Nifty. I believe I will continue to call him Loveless. That is all I will tell today. Have an awesome weekend. I certainly will.

I have seen it twice now. It was by far the best thing I have ever seen. Did you know that if you stayed till the end of the credits that David Johanson sing A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief? It was excellent. Thumbs up. And thanks for the suggestion, Bman went bananas over it.
DANG IT! I didn't stay until after the credits. I had to catch a bus. That is awesome. i hope it is on the dvd. I am buying it when it comes out on April 4. I am glad Bman liked it. I hope he showed his appreciation to you for taking him...
It is such the good documentary. I liked it a lot. And the singing of A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief was possibly my favorite.
What! you've all seen it!? I am so jealous, I have wanted to see it for an age at least, but never got the chance (except that one night when I had been driving all day and was too ADD for a movie). Anyway, when you get it on DVD, Trisha, I want to watch it with you or burrorow it. ("burrorow" is captian Diamondblack for borrow).
I want to have a cool nickname like Arthur. Arthur "Killer" Kane. Maybe mine could be Debbie "Murderous Fiend" Sorensen. No, too gruesome. How about, Debbie "Nacho Mamma" Sorensen. ER,cool.
I like that one. You are now Debbie "Nacho Mamma". Plan on it.
Debbie, can't we just call you sugar butt? isn't that decided? Micquel, my dear, of course you may watch it when i get it. april 4. be aware.
by the way, glad to hear bman liked it...if you know what i mean...
and I do....
